Managing Autistic Spectrum Disorder in Mainstream: Creating a Communication Friendly Environment

Autism is a life-long, developmental disability that affects how a person communicates with and relates to other people, and how they experience the world around them (National Autistic Society, 2016).

This informative twilight course explores the barriers to communication experienced by individuals with autism, and ways to support them within a mainstream classroom.

There will be a focus on how to create a total communication environment that will maximise opportunities for effective social interaction.
