Communication MATTERS: Developing Communication Skills in Pre-school Settings

This half day, practical course looks at how the communication environment in early years settings plays a crucial role in future educational success for children.

The session will focus on early language development and the impact of delayed listening and comprehension skills on acquisition of vocabulary and expressive language.

Learners will have the opportunity to develop small group focus tasks that support specific areas of language and advance their understanding of how adapting the way that things are presented can lead to greater success, even for those "late talkers".

*This course is a great introduction for staff who are new to working within early years settings but will also stretch the knowledge of more experienced practitioners with lots of new practical ideas to take to your educational setting.
